Curd  Pointed Gourd(Curd Patal)
Patal i.e Pointed gourd is such a vegetabe that you can make any preparation with it within a short time. It has various food qualities and it is easily digestable vegetable.The dish which Iam trying to pesent here is very easy  and quick time taken recipe.It is a veg. dish  and you may try it with rice , roti or paratha whatever you like.

Ingredients
  • Patal(pointed gourd) 500gm
  • onion   50 gm
  • ginger paste 50 gm
  • garlic paste of 4-5 pieces
  • green chilli 5-6 pieces
  • bay leaves 3-4 pieces
  • oil  100 gm
  • curd 100 gm
  • mixture of cinnamon, clove and cardamom powder (garam masala) 1 teaspoon
  • turmeric powder 1 teaspoon
  • cumin powder  3 teaspoons
  • coriander leaves  small amount
  • salt & sugar as required
Preparation

At first peel the patals and wash these well.
Marinate these with turmeric powder and salt.
Heat oil in a pan, fry the patals lightly & keep them aside.
 Put the bay leaves, onion, ginger & garlic paste into the hot oil, stir it for 1/2 minutes.
Add cumin and turmeric powder one after another & stir it well.
Now add salt and sugar & the green chillies and also stir it well in light flame.
After sometime pour 2 cups of  water in it & let it boil well for 2 minutes.
Then add the patals to the boiled mixture and let the water be dried a little to make a gravy. Pour the blended curd , the mixture of garam masala and the coriander leaves into the gravy &  cover it for few minutes.
Finally, curd patal is ready to be served.
